The property is peaceful, private and surrounded by beautiful nature, making it a perfect escape from the city.  One of our favorite parts was the incredible dark sky experience.  The stargazing is beyond belief.  Sitting under the stars with no city lights is something we will never forget.
The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Everything we needed was there and you can tell the thought behind everything.  We are already planning our next visits!

We went there for a Birthday celebration and we had an amazing time! Sheryl was so friendly and helpful and the place was stunning , clean , cute and very cozy .We felt so welcome and Sheryl made it feel like home.  We had everything we needed and more. We loved every second of it and could stay there forever. There are walking trails and it’s in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by nature and so quiet and calming . It was exactly what we needed and wanted and we will definitely go back there again. Thank you Sheryl for one of the best, restful weekends ever !!! And see you soon 🌸🩷

 Verified  We had such a lovely stay at Sheryl’s place. It’s one of those hidden gems you almost want to keep to yourself—but it’s too good not to share. ❤️The property is beautiful, and the cottage felt so cozy. We loved having our morning coffee with the sun coming in, taking the dogs out on the trails to start and finish the day, and sitting together by the fire pit at night. It gave us a chance to slow down and enjoy being there.Sheryl is an amazing host. If you’re thinking about booking, I really recommend it. We’d happily go back. ✨

 Verified  The Beaver Hills Retreat is a stunningly beautiful vacation home in the Elk Island/Cooking Lake Moraine area. I can’t recommend it enough. Everything about it was perfect. The place itself has everything one could want for a lovely stay: beautiful country woody, tastefully decorated house; efficient, spotless, well stocked kitchen; two spacious bedrooms with comfy beds and squeaky clean bathrooms, expansive patio with mesmerizing views (my daughter and painted there), and so many birds! And there is so much to do in this unique landscape- inc. Elk Island Park and Ukrainian Village. And Sheryl was lovely. She was so responsive and caring. We plan to go back. Thank you Sheryl for the care and love you put into this bit of heaven.

 Verified  We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sheryl's beautiful cottage. The cottage itself is very well outfitted and beautifully decorated. Sheryl has thought of everything! We enjoyed two nights at the cottage. While we were there, we traveled to Fort Saskatchewan for dinner and to enjoy a World Cup game as well as two visits to Elk Island National Park. Sheryl was very helpful locating dinner spots and making recommendations. The National Park, which was minutes away, was an exciting destination for seeing wildlife ( bison, elk, deer). On Sheryl's property she has established trails for folks. We ran out of time but would definitely love to return to walk the trails. This is such a beautiful spot and Sheryl is such a kind and accommodating hostess. We would love to come back!

 Verified  Sheryl's place is a gem. The land is so beautiful and peaceful and the cabin is very cute and clean, just like the photos. It was an extremely private stay and our dog enjoyed himself so much as did we. If you are looking for a getaway from the city to somewhere serene and private, then you will definitely enjoy this place.
